I got to meet Hunter Parrish last week at the stage door for Godspell on Broadway. The production was absolutely amazing, and I would encourage anyone visiting NYC to go see it if given the chance. Even for a Broadway production, I was blown away by how incredibly talented (and young) the cast was, including Glee’s Telly Leung, whom I also got to meet at the stage door. The revival was reworked from the ground up for a new generation; I don’t believe I have ever heard so many timely pop culture references in a Broadway production before. Also, you definitely do not need to be Christian (or even religious) to appreciate this musical—I promise. I recommend this beautiful revival for everyone!

I was Donnie Darko for Halloween! It’s one of my favorite movies, and I found the same skeleton suit that Jake Gyllenhaal wears in the movie during the Halloween scenes. It was also great because I got to wear a few layers underneath the suit, so it kept me warm since it was kind of chilly out. I went to Godfreys with Micky for their Halloween party, and I also saw my first drag show! All in all, it was a pretty kick-ass night.

Working on “Flat Robert” (à la Flat Stanley) so that I can be with Dani, Keri and Rachel in spirit on their Dublin/London/Paris adventures. Traveling Rob is about to be sent to Keri since she’s closest, so hopefully she’ll take some pics with him during the trip. I wish I was going with yall, but I hope you guys have fun!

This boy. Seriously, one of the nicest, sweetest, most genuine guys you will ever meet. If Kevin McHale isn’t one of your favorite Glee cast members, look at your life. Look at your choices. He had Telly run me after party passes all three times that I saw the show. Even on the last night where I didn’t message them saying I’d be there, he saw my Tweet saying that I’d gotten free tickets from attending the filming, and he still sent me a pair of after party passes. As we were leaving, I asked him for a photo since I’ve never gotten a photo with just him in it, only group photos. He said, “Of course! Now you can replace your Twitter pic with Darren in it.” I laughed and said I just may do it, to which he also laughed and said, “Oh, no. You don’t have to!” I don’t think I can put into words just how nice he is, but I have nothing but gratitude for the way he treats his fans.
